Condolences To Bell Family

11th Feb 2026

It is again with great sadness we have learnt of a sad passing of another life long Crusaders supporter Ted Bell. Ted was ever present at Crusaders matches for many many years and attended Seaview with his daughter, grand daughter and great grand daughter on many occasions such was the love of Crusaders in the family. Ted would also travel when he could to away games and would be vocal in his backing of the team on the pitch. He was a very knowledgeable man about football and gave his views on what happened on the pitch but never crossed the boundaries. Ted was a man who always had a word with everyone and spoke of Crusaders like one of his family.

Chairman Mark Langhammer spoke on hearing of Teds passing and said "Again I am asking supporters sadly to think of another long serving supporters family as they mourn the passing of a loved one. Ted was "one in a million" who sat near myself on match days and offered a greeting and smile" on every occasion we passed and it was great too see him with family members who also attended faithfully. He has followed Crusaders for a long time and would have seen many things that have happened to us over that period of time and his backing never waned no matter the high and lows."

Mark adds "Can we put Teds family at the forefront of our thoughts and prayers as they prepare to lay Ted to rest on Thursday. Can I pass on the sympathies and condolences of everyone at Crusaders Football Club and we will mark Ted's passing along with others who have sadly passed away in the last week at the game on Saturday against Bangor."

Ted Bell. At Rest.
