Crusaders v Linfield. Sports Direct Premiership. Friday 12th April

11th Apr 2024

The final few games of this seasons Sports Direct Premiership are coming fast and Linfield are next on Friday night at Seaview (7.45pm) It is another massive game for both clubs who both need to win and Crusaders need it to stay ahead of Glentoran in the table and get that all inportant fourth spot while Linfield need the points to try and pip Larne to top spot and win the league title.

Crusaders go into the game on the back of a superb 1-0 victory over Larne last week. Every player played their part in the win and it has given the squad a boost and ready to keep it going. We will see Philip Lowry and Paul Heatley back into contention after suspension and injury respectively but Stephen may choose to keep the same players to start this game as last or give Stewart Nixon a start after his match winning goal aginst Larne. The scond half performance was one of the best 45 minutes they have played all season and it will simply be more of the same and we can get another important three points come the final whistle.

Linfield will look to bounce back after a poor 0-0 with Glentoran last week. They did not capitalise on the Crusaders win earlier in the day and David Healy will have made his feeling known and the expecation of a win will be drummed into his players. He has an array of talent to choose from and Crusaders will need to be wary of Joel Cooper, Kyle McLean and Chris McKee in attack but know Jamie Mulgrew and Chris Shields are also likely to pop up with a goal so a busy night is anticipated. The pressure may tell on Linfield but they have a chance to go back top and will play as such.

So we are set for an absolute cracker and we both want and need you there. Your backing this season has been out of this world and we need you with us as we play four more finals starting Friday night. Tickets can be bought for Crusaders supporters only at www.crusadersfc.com or from Harry D's during opening hours and up to 6pm on Friday. After that the ticket office will be open from 6.15pm to kick off if any tickets are left. Get the colours on and sing your hearts out and with your help we can get the right resuly. Keep the Faith. C'mon the Crues.
